Inspiration is powerful!
Getting to work with dyslexics IS inspiring. The way they think is something I can not fully relate to being “neuro-typical”. Sharing tools with them to help them make sense of the english language, well that’s my jam. Sharing with them the dyslexic greats is so incredibly fun, they have HOPE that they, too, can be (and are!) great thinkers that can become amazing adults. Below is just a few. On my resources page, https://www.eurekatutoringllc.com/resources you can find a few books I typically gift my students at Christmas that inspire further. These books contain famous dyslexics in history and present day they can learn about by people who read these to them. Watching their faces light up at the revelation that it’s highly likely Albert Einstein himself, considered to be THE most brilliant mind in all of mankind, strugged with reading and spelling (aka dyslexia) as they themselves do, well, it’s a priceless moment.
So be inspired as you view the below graphic, and inspire others as well. It’s amazingly fun!
